Washington City, June 2d, 1868

Sir:

I have the honor to enclose herewith bills of Subsistence Stores furnished to Destitute Refugees and Freedmen by various Officers of the Subsistence Department, at different points, during the months of Feby and March 1868, (not included in bills previously forwarded,) amounting to sixty seven thousand and twenty four 98/100 dollars ($67024 98/100), and to request that a transfer warrant may be drawn for that amount on the appropriations for Subsistence of Freedmen and Refugees to the credit of appropriations for the Subsistence of the Army.
