Sir
Yours of the 20th received & in reply I would respectfully state, our accounts which had been due us from two to four years were forwarded to your address in January last, the receipt of which was acknowledged in March ensuing & we received our pay therefor in July of this year. We have also transported disabled soldiers on a/c of Asylums which are in all parts of the country, for which we have as yet received no compensation having made application to several parties whom we supposed were responsible therefor.

I have recently ascertained B.F. Butler is at the head of the National Asylums
