The communication of April 17th 1869 herein referred to did not pass through the hands of the present Sup't of Education. The money, $500 00/100, ordered to be expended by the Commissioner, was paid to Mr. Gordon Merrick, I am informed, in April last- Mr. Merrick has been written to for information as to what has been done towards erection of the school house- If his reply is not satisfactory a personal investigation will be made-
