General I had the honor to address you a letter, dated 29th ult., stating I had been informed and believed, that Robert A. Bell, Acting Asst. Surgeon in charge of the hospital of the Bureau of this post, had not attended to the case of Gustavus Meiser, late Captn, 29th N.Y. Vols, now a patient in the hospital - and also that Dr. Bell had been concerned in the sale of bodies of patients who had died in the 
hospital. 
     For several days past I have been expecting to be notified, by some official to appear and substantiate these accusations.
