I had no conversation with Steward Crosby, as to the disposal of these bodies, as Crosby is a person whom I had rather as a gentleman not associate with.

I had several conversations with the students respecting the sale of the bodies before mentioned as well as with Peter ---.  They told me that the price of a subject was ten dollars.

Crosby I was told would not allow Cahill to sell the bodies unless he (Crosby) received half of the money. Mr. Cahill gave me this information.

Dr. De Witt spoke [[strikethrough]] twice [[/strikethrough]] to me on one occasion respecting this sale of bodies, and stated that he did not see anything very wrong with the transaction.  That Cahill being a student of medicine probably got his tickets and other College expenses in return for the bodies so furnished from the Bureau Hospital.

I have no idea that Mr. Cahill was cognizant of or would approve the extinguishment of fires on the bitterly cold nights.  I have already stated I think Crosby the culpable individual.  I think Mr. Cahill is an honorable man, and would never
