Let us see what third parties say about this highly interesting matter, the injured husband testifies that "Maj Roberts was anxious & insisted that I should go on the Street cars at night, but my wife desired I should not, as she did not want to be left alone with Maj Roberts" (Vol 1 Pp 3. L 1 to 4) in other worlds Maj R desired that his victim should be removed, that he might continue his delicate attentions, uninterrupted and unobserved, but the joking Maj says "I never tried to induce Bruce to go on the cars, but advised him to the contrary, (Vol 2 Pg 8 L 8)
