Q. When and under what circumstances has he acted badly?
A. When under influence of liquor or out of his mind.
Q. What did he do on these occasions?
A. He had a quarrel with Dr Noble, he said he would cowhide Dr Bell and me, he said he had cowhided MP Stanton Secretary of War and slapped his jaws and he also mentioned a Col whom he had cowhided, also another officer one of which acts he said cost him one dollar and the other six cents.
Q. Have you seen Dr Bell at Meisens quarters often?
A. Yes Sir, my room is next to his.
Q. Have you always been well attended and cared for?
A Yes, Sir.
Q. Has Gustave Meiser also?
A. Yes Sir, as far as I know, the Doctor went there the same as to my room.
Q. Does Meiser drink a great deal?
A. It dont seem that he drinks much but a small drink affects him awfully.
Q. Where does he get his liquor?
