A. B. Only once. Eggnog, which was always on the counter.
Q. R. How often did you see Maj Roberts drink whiskey?
A. B. Can't say how, often had it with him myself [[note]] 5 [[/note]] once or twice heard him say he had drank always looked upon him as being a temperate man. 
Q. R. How often did you see Gen'l Frederick drink Gov't whiskey?
A. B. Two or three times did not drink with him [[note]] 10 [[/note]] at all myself in hospital
Q. R. How often did you drink Gov't Whiskey?
A. B. Frequently, but never without having asked by the dispensing Clerk either by request on my part or solicitation on his, some days [[note]] 15 [[/note]] I had it twice and for about two weeks I had it about five times. I saw it going and thought I had as well have say share. Large quantities were frequently drank in that way. M. G. Roberts was frequently under [[note]] 20 [[/note]] the influence of liquor. 
Q. R. How often did you see Dr Benson & friends drink?
A. B. Frequently, repeatedly, I presume at Dr Bells invitation. Cant say positively. 
Q. R. Who were your friends who drank there?
A. B. [[note]] 25 [[/note]] Mr. Sittell Asst Sup't City R. R. and W Sellan, cant recollect any others, drank at dispensing clerk's invitation. Ale was also drank in quantities they said it was getting sour. 
Q. R. Who of Gen'l Fredericks friends drank?
