16th—

He then said, "I think more of you than any one in the world", "I think if you did but know it more than your husband does, He said "I am going now" (it was between 4 & 5 oclock) I will not trouble you to go into another room, He did not take any liberty with me at the time. He came once afterward previous to James' Employment in the Bureau, and proposed to me to go to housekeeping in a cottage, offering to extend facilities toward procuring furniture, and also to introduce me to the grocery. I said, "Yes, that would be all I could require but I dont want to keep house unless I am properly fixed therefor. After this (while we were still at Mrs. Nugents') James was employed in the Bureau, after that, through Maj Roberts we procured a house. And went to house keeping. Maj Roberts procured furniture from Steward Crosby, at the Hosp'l. We went to this house
