Testimony of Mrs Eliza C Wallace in the case of James Bruce vs Bt Maj R.W. Roberts
Being duly sworn deposes as follows

Q.R. What is your name and age?
A.Mrs.W. Eliza C Wallace Age 38

Q.R. What has been your occupation since the decease of your husband?
A.M.W. Keeping boarding house on 4th St between Walnut and Chestnut, Cor 8th and Jefferson and on 10th between Chestnut and Broadway (prior to my coming home) 

Q.R. Where did you first become acquainted with Mrs Lucy H Bruce?
A.M.W. While keeping boarding house Cor 8th and Jefferson Streets abut 1st of September 1866

Q.R. Where did you first meet Maj R.W. Roberts?
A.M.W. While keeping house on 4th St between 7 and 15th July 1866

Q.R. Where and under what circumstances did Maj Roberts and Mrs Bruce become acquainted?
A.M.W. At my house corner 8th and Jefferson Streets through my introductions.

Q.R. Did Maj R call frequently on Mrs Bruce afterward?
A.M.W. He came always to see me, twice and three times a week, sometimes once in two week. 

Q.R. Did he see Mrs Bruce at this visits?
A.M.W. Sometimes. Often I was with her when he would come
