Testimony of Dr Boynton in the case of James Bruce vs Dr R.A. Bell

Being duly sworn deposes as follows

Q.by Gen'l R. What is your name, age and occupation?
A. S.W. Boynton M.D. Aged 31 years.

Q How long have you lived in Louisville?
A Nearly two years.

Q What do you know of the illegitimate use of Govt Whisy at the Hospl B.R.F. and A.L. Louisville Ky?
A I have been present, when whisky was drank by different parties not connected with the Hosp'l in the Bureau Drug Store (Dr Bell was present a couple of times) generally at the solicitation of the attachees of the Hosp'l. I supposed it was known to Dr Bell. I suppose this occurred half a dozen times.
