Q| Did you drink any of said whisky?
A| Occasionally upon prescription from the Dr. and occasionally upon invitation of the Town. and with Dr. Bell who succeeded Dr. Town:
Q| What others drank whisky in the Hosp'l?
A| I have seen a few friends while at the Barracks drink. Don't remember who. or by whose invitation.
Q| Was it a common thing for persons outside the dispensary to come there and drink whisky?
A| 15| No it was a very uncommon thing (Note) The following questioning asked by request of Mr Bruce) 
Q| Did you ever while in charge of the Louisville Sub Dist. and Bruce a Clerk 20| therein, expresses disapprobation as to his work as a Clerk?
A| No Sir, He was entirely under the control of Capt. Brown. Had I have been dissatisfied.  I would have discharged 25| him at once. Capt. Brown having charge of the books.  I only asked that he be satisfied.
