Louisville, which lectures closed about the 1st of Febry. previous to departure of Dr Town. I delivered said lectures by permission of Dr Town, which permission was obtained, before any lectures were delivered by me.

Q. Did you deliver any lectures after Dr Town was relieved?
A. Dr Town was present in the Hospital the last lecture I delivered,

Q. Did you, during the late rebellion give any aid or comfort thereto?
A. I have never had any connection with the Rebel Army, nor gave any money in aid of that Army,

Q. Did Dr Bell have anything whatever to do with your delivering lectures in the Hospital?
A. Nothing, my impression is that I never asked Dr Bell for permission to lecture, considering that Dr Town was the proper authority, Dr Bell simple treated me with courtesy, while I was here, I met him but very few times while I was lecturing here,

Q. While lecturing in Hosp'l, did you see much gov't Liquor drank?
