Q 5 Did any one else report the employment of Rebel Cadets? if so whom?
A Sometime afterward Dr Griffith mentioned it, and said he was much gratified at my action, this was about 15th of April 1867 I acted on Dr Bells [[margin]]10 [[/margin]] report alone.
Q State fully, all you know about any Med Professors lecturing in the Hosp'l?
A When first I came here, I heard that there were some of the Professors of the University of Louisville, had been lecturing in the Hosp'l of Bureau R.F. & A.L. Dont think any lectures were delivered after I came here. March 15 1867. I can find no orders or permission for any one to lecture in the Hospital from what I can learn from all sources I concluded that verbal permission had been given them to lecture.
In the absence of orders and upon consultation with Gen'ls. Ely and Burbank, I requested Gen'l Burbank through Gen'l Ely, to issue S.O. No 31. April 15th 1867.
