of Dr R A Bell, from the Hospital B.R F and A Lands. That he signed the petition referred to on the representation of Dr T.J. Griffith & says he knows [[note]] 5 [[/note]] nothing personally of the statements made in the paper, but from the reputation of Dr Griffith and his well known loyalty during the war. He had no doubt of the entire correctness of his statements.

Trimble says in reply to a similar letter of same date - Respectfully returned with the information that I signed the petition within referred to for the removal of Dr R A Bell on the [[note]] 15 [[/note]] representations of Dr T.J. Griffith. I know nothing personally about the matter but from the known character of the said Griffith, I believed his statement to be true.
