Qrs. furnished a very intelligible account of his difficulties with his wife. Complains of Genl Oakes Bureau Agent at Austin, & reports that recently 2 colored persons were brought from N. Western, Ark., who had never heard that they were free & who said that the fact was still unknown in that section &c. |

Has lost $12000. in the undertaking which is very heavy for him. Messrs Totten & Bradley Jr. lawyers are not settling it also Encloses receipt of Dr. W.W. Tucker for payment of Medical service at Farm School. |
