Townsend at Kendall Green, rented a stable to a woman, which was filled up for colored people from Jan to April 15 at $2 per month. She owes him for one or two months rent, & he in April seized her goods & Horse &c & keeps them. She appeals to us, & Mr Brown wrote to Maj Townsend demanding the goods but he Maj T refuses to deliver them. Suggests a number of questions, &c &c. |
