September 9, 1968 Dear Mr. Grigaut: Upon my return to town, a couple of days ago, I was disappointed to learn that I have missed your good visit at the end of July. Mrs. T.D. Parker also posted me about the correspondence exchanged with you and the wish you expressed of including our terra cotta maquette by DUMONT - "Clémence et Valeur" in your exhibition "For Consideration" you are planning in October. I will be delighted, of course to co-operate in this undertaking which, I feel certain, will fulfill its purpose of stimulating interest amoung your newly organized "Friends of the Museum of Art". Would you be good enough to let me know what steps we should take - whether we should ship it directly now or whether you contemplate having it picked up with the other items you may have selected in New York ? I do hope that ere long you will have another opportunity of coming to our city, and meanwhile will you be so kind as to remember me to Mr. Sawyer. With best personal and cordial regards, Sincerely yours, Germain Seligman Mr. Paul L. Grigaut Associate Director The University of Michigan Museum of Art Alumni Memorial Hall Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104
