THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN MUSEUM OF ART
ALUMNI MEMORIAL HALL ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN

October 26, 1965

Mr. Germain Seligman
5 East 57th Street
New York, N. Y. 10022

Dear Mr. Seligman:

As you will remember, our exhibition of French Watercolors 1760-1860 closed this past Sunday, and we are starting to return the loans to their respective owners. You may expect to receive the delightful Barye Lion Debout, the exciting Doré Study for "Vale of Tears", and the two charming Lami watercolors some time next week. May I take this opportunity to tell you how grateful we all are here for your help?
Your loans have been among the most important in the exhibition and have added both interest and charm to it.

With renewed thanks and cordial regards, I am

Sincerely yours,
Paul L. Grigaut
