Dear Mr. Seligman:

Thank you very much for your letter of August 10, which I found upon my return from Vancouver yesterday. It was very kind of you to suggest that you may have some watercolors in your and Mrs. Seligman's collection, which would be of help to us in our forthcoming exhibition of French watercolors, 1760-1860.

The Lion by Barye, the Gustave Doré, and the Lami watercolors would be, I am sure, of great help to us. Please send me at your convenience the necessary information and, equally important for the catalogue, 9" x 10" photos of the works with your bill.

As I know your collection at the gallery, I am sure you must have there other works which would help us. Perhaps Mrs. T. D. Parker would be able to let me know. I had to leave unexpectedly for Vancouver, and therefore I am quite late in sending a request for the exhibition. I hope that you will excuse me. I should add that the latest possible date for the catalogue to be sent to the printer is, unfortunately, September 8.

With cordial regards,
Paul Grigaut
