Dear Mr. Cunningham,

I wish to express my thanks to you for the kind reception you extended to me when I was in Boston.

Your keen interest in the wonderful Degas was indeed very gratifying, and I do hope for everyone concerned that the picture will remain in Boston.

Every time we shall have something remarkably fine, I will take pleasure in calling it to your attention, and to that of Mr. Edgell.

On the other hand, if there is anything that we can do for you, or any pictures or data in connection with paintings that we may get for you, we shall be only too glad to be of service.

Please believe me to be
Very truly yours,

(C. M. de Hauke)

CMH/M P.S. May I bother you by asking you to be good enough to send me a post-card reproduction or a small photograph of the VELASQUEZ "Portrait of an Infanta" which you have in the Museum? I will send the money to you if there is any charge.
