Dear Mr. Rossiter,

I wish to thank you for the kind reception you extended to me when I was in Boston. It was indeed a great privilege to be shown by you personally the drawings in your Department, and I appreciate fully the trouble you took.

I do hope that we shall be able to cooperate with you in enriching your collection.

The photographs we left with you are indeed those of quite outstanding works and I sincerely hope that you will be able to convince your Trustees to allow you to acquire one or two of them.

Please believe that I will always appreciate all opportunities to be of service to you in any way you may suggest, and looking forward to hearing from you and to seeing you again,

Believe me to be

Very truly yours,

(C. M. de Hauke)
