Dear Mr. Zocchi:

We appreciated receiving the photograph you sent this summer, the "Portrait of Diego Martelli" by Degas, with permission for reproduction of the painting in Mr. Seligman's book about his father and the collectors of his time.

Mr. Seligman, who has just returned from Europe, was very much interested to see your museum's publication on the painting, "Retrato de Diego Martelli por Degas". It was extremely kind of you to send the study along with the photograph.
