Dear Mr. Rich:

I am sorry to disturb you again with these lines, but Mr. Germain Séligmann has requested me to ask you if by any chance you know of, or have heard of, a certain Mr. Goldblatt of Chicago, who it seems is an art expert, claiming to be connected with The Louvre Museum in Paris.

As we are unfamiliar with his name, we thought that you may have heard of him and could give us, confidentially of course, any information that you may have.

I do hope you will not object to my asking this in such a straight forward way, and thanking you in advance for your kind answer, please believe me

Very truly yours,

(Cesar M. de Hauke)
