COPY OF HANDWRITTEN LETTER which was addressed to: Mr. H.S.Francis
Cleveland Museum

Dear Mr. Francis -
Miss Sill should no doubt be congratulated for her acumen - However I personally hope that she will not discover anything further as should she, you might accuse me of misrepresentation; little Romaine is supposed to have been a nice sweet child from a Bourgeois family - and now she suddenly appears as having had a past and...to have been talked about with the accompanying publicity... the French used to say "Il n'y a plus d'enfants"! and I would not want it to apply to our little Romaine.

Meanwhile many thanks for the additional data - and particularly for the delightful postal card -
With kind regards to you and Mr. Milliken

Sincerely yours,

GERMAIN SELIGMANN.
