February 9th., 1943.
Dear Mr. Francis:

How very nice of you indeed, to have written me as you have! Your lines of February 8th., just reach me and I in turn, hasten to tell you how much I enjoyed our little trip to Providence.

I am so glad, of course, that seeing the painting anew convinced you of its merits. I can assure you that as soon as I shall hear from Mr. Milliken, and should his words be a "green light" as I hope, I shall spare no efforts to carry out his wishes.

May I reassure you about my health. It did not become worse but took another turn - instead of laryngitis I now have a slight touch of bronchitis, but that also, I am sure, in time will disappear.

Thanking you again for the pleasure of your company and asking you to kindly remember me to Mr. Milliken,

Very sincerely yours,

Henry S. Francis, Esq.,
