December 23rd., 1942.

Dear Mr. Milliken:

It was indeed a delicate attention on your part to have had the check sent in time for its arrival to coincide with Christmas.

Though the official acknowledgement will be sent you tomorrow, I want without further delay, to thank you personally for this gesture, and by the same token to wish you a Merry Christmas and, for 1943, Victory!

Will you be good enough to convey the season's greetings to Mr. H. S. Francis?

Very sincerely, yours,

(Germain Séligmann)
