Dear Mr. Milliken:

There was really no use rushing as I did, and indirectly putting you to such a strain, as the plane was over an hour late - instead of spending this time in the lobby of the Statler, how much I would have enjoyed being able to stay longer in your museum! However, having said that, I realize how selfish it is, when you had already given me your whole day.

I do want to send you these few lines to thank you again for your wanr welcome, your hospitality, and the great treat you and Mr. Francis gave me by showing me through your galleries. Though I expected a goedt deal, what I saw was far beyond my anticipations! The superb quality and the remarkable state of preservation of all those wonderful works of art which you have assembled, make your's a unique museum.

With renewed thanks, and asking you to kindly remember me to Mr. Francis,

With personal regards,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)
