WILLIAM MATHEWSON MILLIKEN, DIRECTOR

CABLE ADDRESS: MUSART CLEVELAND

July 7, 1941.

Mr. R. H. Waegen,
Jacques Seligmann and Co., Inc.,
5 East 57th Street,
New York, New York.

My dear Mr. Waegen:

Leonard Hanna came in to see me in reference to the Gauguin portrait from the Bliss Collection. We are glad indeed to know about this, and will keep it in mind.

However, there does not seem to be a very great possibility of our being able to consider this, as we have made some commitments which make it impossible. We will file away the information so that if it is not snapped up we could consider it with some other things in the fall.

Very sincerely yours,

William Milliken
