Dear Mr. Milliken:

Many thanks for your very kind lines of May 15th. I hope that by now you have received the frame and that it lives up to your expectations.

Upon my arrival from Europe, the Mackay Collection was just being moved into our building. You certainly have heard that this collection is now on the market and that we are handling it.

Of course, I know that I have practically nothing to say about this extraordinary group, as you certainly know more about it than I do personally, but it seems to me that such a collection surely offers to Museums opportunities which are not come across every year, especially in the field of armor, tapestries and sculpture.

Do you plan to come to New York in the near future -- or would you appreciate my coming out to Cleveland, bringing you all the data, photographs, etc. -- or would you prefer having a catalogue sent out to you?

Hoping that the contents of this letter will be of interest to you and that I will be favored with your kind answer,

Please believe me to be -- as always,

Yours respectfully,

(C. M. de Hauke)
