Dear Henry:

Following your good letter of July 31, and my answer of August 13, may I tell you that as soon as I returned to town I wrote to Mr. Jakob Goldschmidt requesting that he give his attention to the matter of the data on the two Guardi paintings which your museum purchased from him.

I carefully went over our correspondence and correctly enough as you write note that as per Mr. Milliken's letter of May 7, 1949, and my letter to Mr. Goldschmidt of May 9, 1949, he was to send the material directly to you.

I am reminding Mr. Goldschmidt of his promise and should I not hear from him within the next few days I shall call him up on the telephone.

With personal regards,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
