New York 22, New York

My dear Mr. Seligman:
I am glad that you have received my letter and notations in regard to objects which at one time may have been in the Chateau de Bagatelle.

I am puzzled about the andirons, and I did not mean to confuse you by sending copies of the letters to you. Mr. Milliken suggested that these be sent, thinking you, perhaps, could untangle the enigma. Please do not trouble yourself with this matter! I am hoping that eventually the matter can be cleared, at which time I will let you in on the secret.

I am enclosing a copy of a memorandum which was sent to Mrs. Rogers on January 28, 1920; this was signed by Jacques Seligman.

Mr. Francis can answer your questions about the paintings and drawing; he appreciates, I know, the information which you have given him.

If I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to write.

Hoping that you have a pleasant few weeks of relaxation, I am
Sincerely,
Helen S. Foote per H
