Dear Mr. Francis:

Among the expenses connected with the Redon show was the reframing of four pastels and drawings. These frames are of a very simple moulding with a slight beaded design, approximately an inch and a half wide. These cost $25.40 a piece.

Now that the exhibition has been dispersed, and the drawings and pastels which were in those frames have been returned to their owners, in their original frames, the four new frames are, of course, at our Gallery.

Before flying to Europe, Mr. Seligman asked me to see that one of the frames was sent to you. Another, to the Walker Art Center, the third will be kept by us - which leaves the fourth available to either your Museum or the Walker Art Center. Should either of you wish to have this last frame at the figure of $25.40, it could be included in the shipment of the single frames.

The above, I realize, sounds extremely complicated, but you will understand it is actually a very simple matter. Would you be so kind as to drop us a line should you wish to acquire the fourth frame.

Yours very sincerely,

On behalf of Mr. Germain Seligman.
