Dear Germain:

It was good to get your letter, but not to hear that you also had fallen by the wayside. I am very sorry to hear it, and sympathize deeply. I hope you are improved, & by now perhaps shaking your grippe. It is very prevalent hereabouts & is one of the things I don't relish. In the main, I am virtually back to normal.. but I still have to be careful, & do get weary if I try to put too much into a day. I shall not try to go back to the museum for another week, & then only part time.

I am sorry Leonard didn't carry off one if not both of those nice pictures... but we'll hope. Certainly, there will be no question, I'm sure, about the Rouault for M. Dorival. Both WMM. & I shall definitely recommend, & they usually
