Dear Germain:

I hope you and Ethlynne had a grand and restful summer, and I trust sincerely you got back before the hurricane hit those parts. Mrs. Jackson said you would be returning soon, but I am forgetful when--and I am apprehensive over anyone who has been in that vicinity. A member of our staff flew to Jamaica just two days before the storm and hasn't been heard from since. Nice kind of a vacation!

Over this weekend I hope to forward my lines on the Redon show. They seem quite superfluous, in view of your introduction and the appreciation of M. Lablond; and if you are of that opinion they can be dropped without any offence to my feelings. I leave that to you entirely; and please edit completely to suit your wishes, if you do decide to include same.

I am taking the liberty of sending to you a charming young Greek boy name Nicolas Psacharapoulos, who is studying Fine Arts at Oberlin. He has been working here all summer as a utility man, along with Ted Coe, of whom he is a friend. His "chiefest" love is the theater. He was delighted with the catalogue of "The State" exhibition once held at the Jacques Seligmann Galleries at 3 East 51st Street in 1939. I am wondering if there are any further copies in existence which I might procure for him. I notice there were 1200 copies printed. If they have all disappeared, where would be the likeliest place in New York to find them, Weyhe's--an who else? Nicolas will leave the city today and will probably arrive in New York shortly after Labor Day.

With warmest regards to you and Ethlynne,

Sincerely,
Henry
