Dear Mr. Seligman:

This letter will corroborate the conversation we had yesterday afternoon, and to which Henry Francis was listening, in relation to the details of the projected Redon Exhibition. Mr. Hanna has shown great interest and has agreed to underwrite the expenses. Based upon your estimate of $4,000.00, given in your letter to Henry Francis dated May 28, Mr. Hanna agreed to provide $2,000.00 to cover our share in the exhibition; and based upon your letter of May 5, to allow in the neighborhood of $750.00 toward the catalogue. We hope that these maximum figures will be well outside the costs, because we like to present the matter to Mr. Hanna in such a way that the money is sufficient and we do not have to appeal to him further.

We will take 500 of the catalogues, as it is advantageous in the publication if we should do so. We will sell nearer 250. Except in rate instances, we find that it is difficult to sell many catalogues, except over long period of time. Only in exhibitions such as the Berlin pictures were we able to completely sell out editions.

As soon as it is possible to establish definite dates, I should appreciate it. We will be free from November 27 through the middle of January, but will prefer to open the exhibition, say, on Tuesday, November 19 or the next day, Wednesday.

If I haven't covered all the details, let me know.

Sincerely yours,
William Milliken
