Dear Henry:

It was pleasant to receive your letter of May 25, and thus to have the confirmation of our cooperation on the planned Redon exhibition.

Dates: Answering your query we have planned tentatively to hold it from October 29, to November 17. As I would like to keep the exhibition for a little while after its official closing date it could be packed and shipped so that you should receive it in the course of the first week in December between the 3, and 8,. From that time on it would be available to you.

I notice that you have between November 27, and the 1, of February nothing scheduled so far, and assume that the above dates would be convenient. My reason for not having the show earlier is that should the weather be good people in the East could remain in the country until after October 15. Should you however wish a modification of this plan do let me know.

Number of items: As regards the number of works, as it stands today I would have eleven pastels, and between eleven and fifteen drawings. I am assured of these and if I say between eleven and fifteen drawings it is because some of them being quite large in size I will only decide in September whether to exhibit all of the fifteen or a smaller number.

On the other hand, though I am at present skeptical about this, I do hope to be able to obtain a few more pastels during my next stay in Paris.

Budget: To set a budget is extremely difficult, but I would say that a total expense of $4,000 should cover the packing, shipping, brokerage, cartage etc., and insurance, and do hope it will be a good deal less. This figure of course does not include invitation cards, nor publicity as I assume you will want to issue your own cards and have your own publicity.

Catalogue: However, one further items we should be able to divide is the catalogue, as it would seem to me that your museum and my firm could make use of the same one. In view of my leaving again for Europe on Thursday, May 31st I am requesting Mrs. T.D. Parker to communicate with you on this topic.
