Dear Miss Foote:

Your very kind letter of December 29th has remained without reply, for which I apologize, in view of my absence from New York.

Answering your different question, would you be so good as to have this small gift labelled as per your suggestion:

"Gift of Germain Seligman",

and as to the valuation do put it down at $300.-

I am indeed glad to read your comments on this Venetian enamel work, and I could not think of another museum where this delicate craft of the late 15th century would be better appreciate and shown.
