Dear Mr. Brown:

Enclosed is the promised copy of our exhibition THE STAGE held some years ago, but which nevertheless you felt you might like to consult at leisure.

Meanwhile we have had the Gallo-Roman bottle photographed and I am attaching prints of its two sides.

The attached description covers, as you will notice, items found in the same region at about the same time, but which as Mr. Seligman pointed out have no other relationship than to substantiate the dating of the bottle itself.

You will remember that this glass is part of the collection of the Dukes D'Arenberg, whose beautiful Illuminated Manuscripts formed our exhibition of last Fall, and that the price of the bottle alone is Four Hundred Dollars.

It was nice indeed to have you drop in, and so much of a coincidence that you should have come just when I was going to write to you,
