Rev. D Burt,

Nashville Tenn. Dear Bro. We had a very pleasant time at the dedication on Saturday. I sent you the notice which appeared in one of the city papers. This notice is quite a favorable one, and shows some change in the feeling of the people. I shall go on to Montgomery and Selma the middle of the week. I hope to reach Memphis by Tuesday of next week. Do not see how I can reach there sooner. Shall expect to meet you there. It might be well for you to spend next Sabbath there as you will require several days to part fully on the work in west Tenn. The Bureau rents our house and & gives $2,400 on the building, also $2,000 for another new school house. We are in the same way to begin at once large school buildings at Macon, Augusta & Savannah. Gen Howards Inspector was here Saturday and instructed the Supt. of Education to invest the appropriate so as to get into the educational work at an early day. Very Truly Yours.
