I have the honor
to herewith respectfully enclose, my report of the
Cleveland Colored School for the month of Dec 1866, and I acknowledge receipt of the communications in reply to your fast letter I will say that I have collected this month seven 50/100 Dollars. In reply to your last letter informing me that you had succeeded in securing me a commission, (for which I return to you my sincere thanks) I will state that the colored people of this place are more anxious to learn than any body I ever saw in my life. I may safely say that there are fifty Heads of families who are and have been in Cleveland trying to rent houses. in order that they may send their children to school
