James Hamlin has been ordered to Somerville and will work there next week. It may be well for you to [[strikethrough]] up [[/strikethrough]] draf him a letter at once in care of Mr. Shadinger. to whom he is ordered to report. Mr. Hutton has been addressed & asked to write at once to you & to me if he accepts my proposition. If he answers favorable to you can order him on by telegraph and I will forward his papers to Jonesboro. Please give Mr. Hamlin a full understanding if the arrangement with Mr. Shaddinger. Bro. Baeman reports on the 8th 550 pupils at Memphis. A big gain. He says we will need Colwell Hall. Please dont draw heavily on me for other points if I have to send twelve teachers to Memphis.
