Supt. Ed. Bur. R.F. & A L.

Rev & Dear Sir.
Some time after you left Nashville to go to Minnesota I received through the Bureau agent here tickets for transportation for myself & Mr. McK, to New York City. The tickets were received at so late a date, that the warm weather had commenced, and we concluded not to go until the fall. The fact we could not leave our family and work at that time. Within a few days we have began to look at the matter again, and I now write to inquire whether the tickets will still be good for use, and whether we can in any way be repaid our transportation for the autumn journey. An early answer will confer a special favor.

Since I began to write, I recollect that very singularly I have forgotten to make my report as I intended to do for the month of Sept. The way it happened was this, and exceedingly I regret my mistake, I make my report to the Com of our Ch, in the latter part of the week preceding the first Monday in every month. Having that in my mind I supposed I would be in good time tomorrow, when I make my report to Pittsburgh. I will make out and forward your report tomorrow. I am looking for the first No. of ‘Our Newspaper’, every day.
Very Respectfully
Yours &c
E.M. Kinney
