Supt. Ed. Dear Sir, I have the Honor to inform you, that the colored people at Grand Junction Hardeman City Tenn, have procured a site for a School House as a Donation. The Title is good and in Seven Trustees: Colored men; who are to hold it for a colored school, and place of Divine Worship for all Christians of that color forever. The House to be 24 x 40 Feet. 14 feet posts. The colored people have a Subscription in Lumber and labor about $100.00 They will furnish the labor gratis for the completion of the House.
They Respectfully ask the Bureau, the Sum of $300.00 for the purchase of Material to complete the work. 
The School will number about 100 Schollars The people have a No 1. Teacher, a house they purpose to support
