Respectfully returned to Bvt. Lieut Colonel E. Beecher, Asst. Commr. of Alabama, to know if the political disabilities of Mr. P. T. Wright have been removed. Unless he can take the oath prescribed in Act of Marach 3rd 1865 he cannot be paid. It was a violation of law to place him on duty until he had taken the oath above referred to.
