Some twelve months since I wrote to President Johnson laying before him certain facts connected with my father, P. T. Wright who had acted as Bureau Agent for Greene Co Alabama. According to what was paid his predecessors and successors in office, he was to receive $100.00 per month and $10. per month for Room Rent for an office. He served for six months, and up to this time has not received one cent of that amount.
It was first objected that he could not take the oath. This he has taken. Then the matter was referred to the county judge and ex office Bureau agent in his county, who decided that the claim was just and right to be paid. Then depositions were taken & found loyal
