Collins of Poughkeepsie NY St. Greely and others propose to purchase tracts of land and sell to Freedmen for homestead and to establish schools &c. Requests the Commissioner (if the plan seems feasible) to indicate localities for the purchase and also some Freedmen as purchasers. See L.B. Vol 5. Sept. 3 '69. WRAPPER (One (1) Enclosure.)
