Greeley, & some others propose to use some 10 or 15 thousand dollars, for the purchase of land in one or more tracts to be sold without advance, to Freedmen, in farms of about 20 acres each as homesteads. Sales to be made on time say two or three years. It is designed to find out such thriving honest families as would go right on and work through the debt and reimburse to lender of the money.
