1869 Calvin East resident of madison county state of Alabama. Who very duly sworn deposes and says that he accompanied Prior Turner to this office of the solicitor of Madison county Alabama Mr William Weiden. When we reached there Prior Durner asked Mr Weiden whether he was going to bring suit against the county for him for what the disguised men had done to him. Mr Weiden said he would not do it: That Prior Turner must get one of his lawyers to write the papers and plead the case then he would go on that the law did not require him to do it only if Prior had been killed it required him to bring suit for his Md on this was said on the 13th day of September 1869
