Acknowledging Gen H M Whittlesey's note in reference to Lucien Thompson who has been liveing [[living]] with him about 2. years. States that when he first came to live with him he was a rude, rough and heedless fellow, but has since greatly improved. He had his arm broken some time since but is now well. He assents that the boy Lucien is as well taken care of and provided for as any boy in the County. Copy furnished Lavinia Perkins bet F. & G. 9 & 10 sts. Island.
